SCIENCE IS ABOUT UNDERSTANDING HOW THE WORLD WORKS
Science isn't just about remembering facts.
It's about understanding the world around us, asking questions, looking for evidence and using knowledge to explain what we observe.
From cells and ecosystems to forces, energy, materials and chemical reactions, learners build their scientific understanding over time.
When a learner hasn't fully understood one part of the science, later topics can become harder.
At Rebel, we don't simply give learners more questions to memorise.
WE IDENTIFY THE GAPS. WE EXPLAIN THE SCIENCE. WE HELP LEARNERS APPLY WHAT THEY KNOW.
Our tutors break complex ideas down, explain them clearly, check understanding and help learners apply their knowledge to different questions and situations.
The aim isn't simply to remember the answer.
It's to understand the science behind it.
SCIENCE TUITION BUILT AROUND YOUR LEARNER
Every learner starts from a different place.
Tuition is tailored around:
CURRENT LEVEL
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL GAPS
SCIENTIFIC VOCABULARY
LEARNING GOALS
STRENGTHS & CHALLENGES
CURRICULUM & EXAMS
Whether your learner needs to strengthen their foundations, understand a difficult topic, improve their exam technique or prepare for GCSE Science, we focus on what they need next.
Your learner doesn't have to fit the tuition. The tuition fits the learner.

UNDERSTAND THE SCIENCE. APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE.
Knowing a scientific fact is only the beginning.
Learners need to understand what it means, explain it accurately and apply it when faced with a different question, experiment, graph or unfamiliar situation.
Our tutors encourage learners to:
Ask questions
Understand rather than simply memorise
Use accurate scientific terminology
Explain processes clearly
Make connections between ideas
Apply knowledge to unfamiliar questions
Interpret graphs, tables and data
Work through calculations
Evaluate evidence
Understand scientific investigations
Learn from mistakes
Develop scientific reasoning
Become more independent learners
We want to move learners from:
“I know the fact, but I don't know what to do with it.”
to:“I understand it — and I know how to apply it.”
Every session is tutor-led.
Our tutors teach, explain, question, listen and adapt in real time. If a learner doesn't understand a topic, we explain it differently. If they know the content but struggle to apply it, we practise using it. If they repeatedly make the same mistake, we work out why and address the underlying difficulty.
And when they're ready to move forward, we do.
SCIENCE ISN'T JUST ABOUT THE CLASSROOM
Science encourages learners to question, investigate, reason and understand the evidence around them.
The skills developed through Science — interpreting information, analysing evidence, solving problems and explaining ideas — are valuable far beyond a Science lesson.
WE HELP LEARNERS BECOME CURIOUS, CAPABLE AND CONFIDENT SCIENTIFIC THINKERS.
FOCUS GROUP SCIENCE
Our Focus Groups bring together 3–6 learners studying Science at a broadly similar level.
When you register your interest, we'll ask about:
Year group
Current Science level
Learning needs
Preferred days and times
We'll use this information to match learners studying the same subject at a broadly similar stage.
FOCUS GROUPS START WITH 3 LEARNERS
If there is a suitable match but a Focus Group hasn't reached three learners yet, your learner can start with 1:2 tuition at £125 per learner per month while we continue matching.
Once a suitable third learner joins, they can move into the Focus Group at £99 per learner per month.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT TO GET STARTED.
WHAT CAN CHANGE WITH THE RIGHT SUPPORT?
Stronger scientific knowledge
Better understanding of complex topics
Improved application of knowledge
Stronger scientific reasoning
Greater accuracy with terminology and calculations
Better exam technique
Greater confidence
Greater independence
Better academic outcomes
READY TO HELP YOUR LEARNER MAKE PROGRESS?
Whether your learner is struggling with a particular Science topic, has gaps in their knowledge, wants to improve their grades or is preparing for GCSEs, we'll start by understanding where they are now.
START WITH A CONVERSATION
Tell us about your learner, their current Science level, the support they need and your preferred days and times.
We'll help you find the right tuition option.
