Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Statement
(for young people)
Our Commitment at Rebel Training
At Rebel Training, keeping young people safe is our number one priority. We take a strong stand against all forms of abuse, including human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation.
What do we mean by "human trafficking"?
Human trafficking is when someone is tricked, forced, or taken somewhere (sometimes even within the UK) to be exploited. This can include:
-
Being made to work when it’s unsafe, unfair, or against your will
-
Being forced to do things that break the law
-
Being used for someone else’s gain through threats or manipulation
-
Being taken advantage of sexually, or made to do things online or in person that feel wrong or unsafe
Children and teenagers can be especially at risk—especially if someone offers money, gifts, protection, or friendship in return.
What Rebel Training does to protect young people
-
All our staff and volunteers are trained to spot the signs of exploitation and trafficking
-
We have safeguarding policies that guide everything we do
-
If we think someone is in danger, we take it seriously and act fast
-
We work closely with social workers, schools, police, and support organisations when needed
-
We teach young people about their rights, safety, and how to get help
What to do if you’re worried
If you’re a young person and something doesn’t feel right—about a person, a situation, or what someone is asking you to do—you can talk to us.
If you're a parent or carer and you're concerned about your child, or another young person, we’re here to help.
