BUILDING THE INNER SKILLS TO NAVIGATE LIFE, CHANGE & CHALLENGE
Learners can work towards the Kingβs Trust Developing Resilience Level 1 Award, exploring the knowledge, skills and personal resources that can help them manage challenges, develop positive wellbeing and build confidence for the future.
The qualification can be personalised around each young person's starting point, experiences, strengths, needs and aspirations, using practical activities, discussion, reflection and real-world learning.

Level 1 Award
The qualification explores different aspects of resilience and wellbeing, helping learners understand themselves, recognise challenges and develop strategies that can support them in everyday life.
π± PERSONAL RESILIENCE
Learners explore what resilience means, recognise their own strengths and consider ways of responding to challenges, setbacks and change. This is the mandatory unit within the Developing Resilience qualification and is recommended as the starting point for the programme.
π POSITIVE WELLBEING
Exploring factors that contribute to positive wellbeing and identifying practical ways to look after emotional and mental wellbeing.
π PHYSICAL HEALTH
Developing understanding of how physical health, activity and healthy choices can contribute to overall wellbeing.

Exploring hopes, ambitions and future possibilities, while identifying steps that can help learners move towards their goals.

Developing understanding of positive relationships, communication, boundaries and the ways relationships can affect wellbeing.

Exploring community, contribution and the ways individuals can participate positively and support others.

The qualification can sit alongside other areas of a learner's personalised programme, including English and Maths, Arts Award, Personal Development & Employability, creative learning and often is used as an introductory course.
A QUALIFICATION BUILT AROUND THE LEARNER
The Developing Resilience qualification provides a structured framework, while learning can be adapted to the individual learner's needs, interests and starting point.
Learners build evidence through their learning and demonstrate achievement against the requirements of the qualification.
