Our weekly 4-day, youth-led Creative Holiday ProgrammeĀ is part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, funded by the Department forĀ Education. We offer an inclusive, specialist provisionĀ for all children and young people ā including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)Ā and neurodivergentĀ participants.Ā
These innovative, arts-based workshops are designed for both primary-aged childrenĀ and tailored secondary-age teens, using a blend of art, food, movement, and meaningful conversationĀ and youth-led projects to support wellbeing, creativity, and youth leadership. We'reĀ looking for compassionate, reliable, and creative individualsĀ to help deliver a safe, engaging, and empowering experienceĀ for every child.Ā
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ideal for:Ā Individuals passionate about healthy eating, cooking with children, and celebrating diverse cultures through food
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks
Lead fun and engaging cooking sessions with small groups of children or young people
Explore food from different cultures and encourage positive food choices
Follow allergy protocols, hygiene standards, and food safety guidelines
Support with food registration and compliance with local authority requirements
Happy to co-lead on food registration with the local authority
What Weāre Looking For:
Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete in own time)
Comfortable preparing food and working with 4-5 children in the community centre kitchen
Interest in healthy eating
Organised, safety-conscious, and culturally sensitive
Ability to complete food safety checks

š± Additional Info:
We are looking for someone who can commit to hours of 11:00 AM ā 3:00 PM, Monday to Thursday throughout the summer holidays. There are additional hours before and after available as a Creative Club Assistant.
